11 more children were checked during distribution. These were children that were supposed to be checked last month. Since there wasn't as long of a wait to be seen, I guess that is why they came out. There were a total of 21 children that still needed to be seen, and 11 showed up. 10 children still remain on the list to be seen. I do not know which 11 children were seen at this time. The medical reports are with the clinic getting the official stamps. Once they are stamped, all of the reports are headed to the US. We will find out at that time who has still not been seen, and then find out why the last 10 children have not shown up after 4 attempts. We will keep everyone posted.
We are due for a spring medical exam assembly around April. If you would like to get your sponsored child on the list for a medical exam during that time, send an e-mail to macandmic@gmail.com It is only $10 per medical exam. You are mailed the results of the exam once it is complete. Our exams have been instrumental in catching malaria, urinary tract infections, HIV, and a list of other health problems. They receive prescriptions while there as well as get treated for intestinal worms. I think it is quite a lot for $10!
