ECCDE Preschool Gift Distribution

Introducing the preschool children!! There are a few preschool children still left in need of sponsors. This is a special group because they need so much in their classrooms. Their classroom, as you can see, has the bare minimum. In order to provide help to as many children as possible, the children who are sponsored will more than likely share their books with unsponsored children. Unless, we have a miracle happen and they all get sponsors, which would be really great.

The classroom itself is in need of educational materials as well, so this has been added to the gift distribution. It would be nice to have several sets of building blocks. One set of building blocks can be purchased if two children's gift money is use for that purpose on month 8. So, it takes two sponsored children to buy that item. Items such as paint and wall charts can be had with just one child's gift money. Combined, 5 children could provide the classroom with two sets of blocks, some wall charts, and a paint kit. Does this make sense?

Right now, we do have 2 ECCDE children sponsored. They are 2 of the Muloba children. In month 8, those two children could provide the classroom with a set of blocks. We need more ECCDE children to get sponsors to make a big difference in the school. The preschool is not set up by the government but solely by Child Hope Zambia. The only things in the classroom are things that have been provided by generous donors. It would be nice to donate some fun things like dolls and toy cars to the classroom as well (just a thought)!

I hope you are as excited as I am about this wonderful program! Here is the gift distribution table for the preschool children:

Month 1: 6 exercise books, ruler, pencil, eraser, box of crayons
Month 2: Shoes
Month 3: nothing bought for the child this month
