Meet Chabota Nchimunya #544

This is Chabota.  She is 15 years old and in the 9th grade. She recently wrote a letter to her potential sponsor. Part of her letter says:

"Let me tell you a bit about our village.  There are many people surrounding us, but I don't know the number of them... many people are farmers because our land is fertile for growing.  People grow maize and cotton.  Our house is small but it has one bedroom and one sitting room.  In our sitting room there are no tables or chairs... We have a cat called Boss.  In our village these are animals- these are cows, pigs, goats, donkeys and dogs."

Chabota wants to be a nurse, and her favorite pastime is studying.  She will need a sponsor in order to go past the 9th grade. Her parents are supporting 9 children, and they will not be able to afford to send her to school much longer. The girls are always the first ones to be pulled out of school. I believe Chabota's younger sister is Ngandu #558 who, also, is in danger of getting pulled out of school.  If you would like to sponsor Chabota, send an e-mail to macandmic@gmail.com
