Here are pictures of the first 8 children getting their first gifts!!! The primary children are wearing their new uniforms and holding their mosquito nets and items/letters from packages. The preschool child Shadreck is wearing his new shoes and holding his exercise books, and school supplies.
As you can see the children appeared quite shocked. I think it will take them a few months of getting letters from their sponsors and continually seeing sponsorship gifts for them to realize it is not just a dream. They have no idea what a sponsorship program is, so it is all just new and unknown for them. More photos to come!
Little Shadrek is looking really sharp in his new shoes and with his supplies I hope that he likes the letter I sent :)
