This children appear to have their grandmother's sweet and happy personality. Their video says a lot about their character. Though they are living through extreme poverty, they are happier than most middle class folks!! What a great example they are showing to the world! I hope we can be a big blessing to this family. If you would like to sponsor one of these children, send an e-mail to macandmic@gmail.com Thank you for all you do!!

Joseph Nyanwa Family Part 1

I just LOVE this video! I wish she could be my grandmother! They are such a happy family!
Translation from Chim:
I asked the children their and the grade they were doing. They responded according to the bio sent (photos grades and ages will be in the next post). I then asked them what support they required in school and they told me that they needed uniforms, shoes, books, food, clothes, school bags and help paying for school fees. The grand mother is appealing for school fees, food and other necessary things for school. She does not have any means to sustain the children. Stay tuned for the next post to see the children that are available for you to help.

Meet Joseph #1043 and Collen #1042

Chim wrote:

I asked the mother to introduce the children and she told me that the youngest child who was in gum boots is Joseph Nyanwa. The boy attends one of the CHILDHOPE established ECCDE centers. She then told me that the older boy who also stood with her in the video is Collen Nyanwa doing grade 4 at Simwaba basic school. From there I asked the mother what difficulties she encountered in raising the children. She said she would be happy to have people who could help her children in terms of education and their wellbeing.

This is Nkombo Chaaba. As you can see, even though she is only in the 1st grade, she has already learned English! This is due to her enrollment in CHILDHOPE's ECCDE preschool center. This is giving the children a headstart in school. It would help Nkombo even further to have a sponsor that would write to her in English. This correspondence would keep her English skills sharp and help her excel in school. To sponsor Nkombo for only $9 a month send an e-mail to macandmic@gmail.com You find out more about Nkombo by clicking on the page for primary girls.

The beginning of the video shows the floor of the primary classroom. It needs some slight repairs. The more exciting part comes after viewing the floor where you will see the primary students repeating words the teacher is saying. Do you recognize any one?

Pupils in one of the classes

This is one of the junior secondary classes. Do you recognize any of the students?

Going to school in Mazabuka

Morgril Hakansenke #1030 above is 3 years old. He is in preschool and will turn 4 in October. Nkombo Hakansenke #1031 below just turned 7 years old in June. He will be able to attend first grade in January, as long as his parents can afford to send him.

Edith Hakasenke #1032 above is 4 years old. She attends preschool with her siblings and cousins. Margret Hamoonga #1033 below is sponsored!
Elizabeth Hamoonga #1034 below is Margret's twin and is also sponsored!

It is only $9 a month to sponsor them and provide them with shoes, school books, school supplies, medicines and more! They will even color some pictures for you and thank you for your support!

Hakasenke Family Part 1

Chim asked the children their names but they were too shy to talk to him. Chim then requested that the mother to some the children introduce them. She pointed out each child and stated their name as noted in the sponsorship pages about each child. Chim then spoke to the grandmother who normally spends most of her time with the children home. He asked her how easy it was to look after the children. She told him that it was very difficult to look after the children. She told him that she was suffering and has nothing .She is appealing for help for her grand children from anyone who could help .She is appealing for someone who can help pay for their education, books, uniforms and shoes.
To sponsor one of these children, I will be posting the photos, names and child IDs of the children available in the next post. Stay tuned!

Cheelo Family Part 2

Mweenze Cheelo #1027 above just turned 17 in June and is in the 9th grade (male). Phanuel Cheelo #1028 below is 12 years old and in the 5th grade (male).
Tubi Cheelo #1029 below is sponsored!

As you can see, 2 of the 3 Cheelo children are still in need of sponsors. Mweenze especially could go far. If he has a sponsor that supports him all through senior secondary and then to university, he would be able to help his family out of poverty. Without sponsorship, this year will more than likely be his last year of school. Senior secondary would be too expensive for him to continue.

To sponsor Mweenze for only $15 a month, click on "sponsor secondary student" on the right hand side of the blog. To sponsor Phanuel for only $9 a month, click on "sponsor primary student" on the upper right hand side of the blog.

Cheelo Family Part 1

Chim asked the children their names and grades and they are according to their information that has been added to the sponsorship pages. They are being looked after their elder brother who is in the video. Chim asked their brother how he was doing looking after his young brothers and sisters. He told Chim that it was very difficult to look after them and to provide them with everything they need. He sometimes does farming to sustain the children but this is not enough. He said the children are still in lower grades and need help in purchasing books, shoes, clothes and blankets.
If you would like to help one of the Cheelo children, I will be posting their photos and details in the next post. I think it is great to help a brother who has taken on the responsibility of raising his siblings!
