Simwaba Hunter - Brian #722

It is funny to me how a child's face or information can grab my attention sometimes.  I was rearranging the photo albums when I ran into this little guy.  His photo made me smile, so I had to share him with everyone!  He has such a serious look on his face, but the alien with the pointy ears ruins the seriousness he is trying to portray.  That is just hilarious to me!  Anyway, I looked at his bio and was amazed that his household chore is hunting.  He lives with his single mother, and so the chore of hunting falls on his shoulders.  I hope he is not using a gun- my goodness!  He is turning 5 in two weeks, but still, I think it may be a little early for artillery.  Here is his full bio:

Meet Jackline Chaambwa #570

Jackline lives in Simwaba just as Chipo does.  However, Jackline is in secondary school at Simwaba Basic.   4 days before Christmas, Jackline turned 15 years old.  She enjoys playing netball with her friends. 

In her letter to her potential sponsor, she writes about where she lives.  She says there are 30 people that live near her home.  Some of the people that live there farm crops like maize, cotton, and sweet potatoes.  She lives in a one room house made of grass with 2 windows.  As you can see, she is a very descriptive letter writer!!

She told me that the child wearing striped sweat shirt was her child by the name of Joe Muube who attends the CHILDHOPE ECCDE supported center in Chalimbana. She told me that the child wearing a yellow T-Shirt was her grandchild whose name is Malambo Chaambwa attending ECCDE supported by CHILDHOPE in Chalimbana. Asked her what complications the children had in line with their health. She told me that from the time Joe was born, he has been having complications with his ears such that puss comes out of his ears. She told me that Malambo has problems with her teeth such that the mouth swells.
