Happy Bithday August 5th!

Mwiinga Mwiinga #405 above turns 10 years old today. He is in the 4th grade in Naleza.
I know many of you have been missing the nearly daily posts of birthday children. The reason for the lack of them is that Sara was setting those up. She would set up 2 weeks of birthday posts in advance. However, her life right now just got busier than it was before, so she hasn't posted. I am sure she will be back at in shortly. In the meantime, since one of you asked specifically for today's birthday child to be posted- Here he is!!! Also, Roger's newly sponsored Eunice is celebrating a birthday today!

What a Difference!

“You can gain more friends by being yourself than you can by putting up a front. You can gain more friends by building people up than you can by tearing them down. And you can gain more friends by taking a few minutes from each day to do something kind for someone, whether it be a friend or a complete stranger. What a difference one person can make!”

—Sasha Azevedo
(1978-); Entertainer

Don't forget to send a letter to your sponsored child. Your kind words of encouragement could be just what they need to find hope for the future! You can make a big difference just by being you! Thanks for all you do!!

July Distribution Group Pictures

Aren't these group pictures amazing? It is just astounding that we have been able to do so much in so little time! We are only 2 children shy of the 100 children sponsored milestone, and the sponsorship program has only been active for 3 months! You all are awesome!!! Look at how many children you have helped! Incredible! Thank you for all you do for these extremely needy children and their families!!

A thank you from the children- July

July Distribution- Food for All!

You can see that the children really enjoyed the food. They were given Nshima and beef stew. The Zambia team has had some problems getting good pictures of the children because the majority of them are camera shy. They are not used to seeing cameras let alone posing for them! I am sure they will get used to the camera as the team continues to visit them every month. I plan to send the photos that have been taken of my sponsor children and send the children themselves copies. Hopefully, this will show them what the photos are being used for, and they will want to continue to pose for the camera.

Children Eating at Distribution Pt 1

Beef stew and nshima! Yummy!! They ran out of seats, so this small group made their own table outside.

The ECCDE Teacher thanks the sponsors

The ECCDE/Preschool teacher in Simwaba came to the distribution. He wanted to personally thank the sponsors for their support. The preschool teachers are extremely grateful for the help because the sponsorship benefits include school books and learning tools for the children. All of the children benefit from this, and it will make teaching much more fun (not to mention easier)!!
