January in Mazabuka Post 2

In these photos, I see children from the Hambulo, Ngandu, and Muloba families.  Does anyone recognize any other families represented here?
In these photos, the children were given cooking oil, rice and kapenta.  Yummy!!

January in Mazabuka Post 1

Ngandu and Hambulo children

Here are a few group photos.  I see the Hambulo and Ngandu children in these.  There are other children there who I am not sure of, so post if you recognize any of them.
Individual photos should be coming soon.  In the meantime, I hope you enjoy these!
In these photos, you will see Paris from Cyprus in Mazabuka.  He brought the children beans in these photos.

The Hambulo Family

The Hambulo children above are very tall.  Mutinta (the oldest girl) says this physical trait helps her with her netball skills.  Below the children work alongside their father in the family's garden.

Milimo and Medynice above taking care of the chickens, and Mutinta below showing where some of the children sleep- blankets on the dirt floor.

This is the Hambulo family.  There are several videos and photos of them, so if you like to have videos and photos of your sponsored children, these children would be a great choice!  I sponsor the oldest child, and she is such a wonderful writer that I decided to post about her sister and 2 brothers that are still waiting for sponsors.
The family is very poor.  Before sponsorship, the children had to go to tourist sights and beg for money in order to come up with the funds to stay in school.  They are all very bright and education is a priority.  I would really like to see the other three children (plus the oldest boy- Fredreck who is not enrolled) go all the way to university.  They have the drive, so they just need the chance.

Hambulo family

Translation by Chim:
I asked the lady to introduce herself and she told me that she was Lontia Mwiinga the mother to the children in the video. I then asked her to introduce the children and this is what she had to say: She told me that the child wearing the red blouse is Miyoba Hambulo doing grade 4 at Simwaba basic school. The child wearing checked shirt was Lweendo Hambulo doing grade 4 at Simwaba basic school while the child wearing a yellow T-shirt was Milimo Hambulo attending the CHILDHOPE Simwaba supported ECCDE centre. The lady is appealing for education support for her children through the purchase of books, shoes, help paying school fees etc. I asked the children what help they needed and they said the same things as the mother.

Mednice and Mutinta are, also, part of this family.  Those 2 girls are sponsored.  Now, 3 of their siblings are looking for sponsors.  To sponsor Miyoba, Lweendo, or Milimo for only $9 a month, send an e-mail to macandmic@gmail.com

Hambulo Family Part 2

Mutinta #1008 above is 13 years old and in the 6th grade. Lweendo #1009 below is the only male in this family group. He is 9 years old and in the 4th grade.

Mediness aka Mednice #1010 above-sponsorship pending! and Miyoba #1011 below is 12 years old and in the 4th grade. She is still in need of a sponsor

Other than child #1010, the Hambulo children are still unsponsored. Each one of these children are in primary school, so their sponsorship is only $9 a month! That will provide them with a uniform, shoes, school supplies, medicines, tuition support, school bags and more! It is amazing that we can do so much for so little. Afterall, it is easy to blow $9 on one meal for a single person at a casual dining restaurant. That meal last only 1 hour, tops, and then, a few hours later you are ready to eat again. That same $9 provides these children with 1 whole month of sponsorship benefits! Incredible!
